This site is connected to a brick and mortar bookstore that is unlike any other you have ever visited. With approximately 75,000 books comprising of some 50,000 titles, you could say WE LOVE BOOKS! In fact, books are some of our best friends, so we treat them lovingly.

Yes, most of our books are used, but most are like-new and are meticulously organized. You won’t find a musty smelling “stacked from floor to ceiling” tangle of cast-offs.

We keep track of our inventory and strive to stay well informed about the books you love to read. Feel free to call or email us with the book you’ve been looking for and if we don’t have it, we’ll do our best to help you locate it. Prefer to browse or search in person? Many years ago, when I was preparing to become a high school English and reading teacher, a professor told me the most important indicator of a student’s reading aptitude was the number of books in his/her home. I actually did visit my students in their homes and found that my professor was right. I was lucky enough to have parents who read and who encouraged a love of reading. In my experience, a love of reading can take you places you never dreamed you might go.

At Buy The Book, we have all kinds of books and no, I have not read them all. We pride ourselves on having a wide variety of books, some are very popular, others are very obscure, but every one of them has value to the right person.

We have tried to make our store a pleasant temporary home for our books, a place where you will enjoy browsing and exploring, where you might even feel comfortable enough to sit and read for a while.

I realize that times are changing and that many people predict that books will go the way of vinyl records as technology offers us new and different ways to access information and literature. I’m not concerned. We offer a value that E-readers cannot. As long as there are book lovers, we will be here waiting for you to come and discover the books you love.
